About 1982 I initiated the project to automate our point of sales 
at U-Haul Centers, I told Dad what I had in mind, and kept 
him up to speed for the two years it took to get designed.  At 
the end of two years, I told him that we needed to commit $10 
million to implement it.  He grilled me about it, making me think 
that he was seriously second guessing me, and then he said 
he wanted to think about it, could I get him some books on the 
subject?  So I gave him several books and he went home and 
read them, then came back and OK’d the project.
