This fall, November 11, the Amerco Family companies will have been four years
in the hands of people who can most charitably be called ignorant. They have spent
millions of dollars on lawyers. Wealth that I and many others gave of our very
souls to create. Their ignorance is
characterized by fear, prejudice and
confusion.
Who would have ever imagined that
the organization would cough up about
Ten Million dollars for lawyers in a two
year period. There is a saying that “too
much is never enough.” I keep saying and
praying that we will all learn from this
experience and that our lives will be
enhanced by this knowledge. I want you
to know that this is my prayer.
I need to be given some credit
for what I have done for my daughters
and sons and even for my wives. I have
tried to be a good husband and father.
Perhaps we will be together again
as we were last summer. That was a
rewarding time for me.
With Love and Respect,
Your dad

All of this craziness should never have occurred. I was so
ignorant as to the activities of Joe and Mark. So naive and hopeful.
Their lives can not be good.
With love and respect,
Your dad, L.S.
